Peer Lending

What is Peer Lending?

Also known as a micro-lending group. In different communities, peer lending can be used by people who don’t have access to traditional bank loans.

All the members contribute an equal amount during a set time and then each round a portion can be lent out to a participant.

Likewise the money can also be used for community improvement efforts like buying land, solar-panels, making and maintaining community gardens.

The funds can be used in starting a businesses, providing bail and burial money, building funds, rehabilitating homes and funding repairs.

When contributing you can write in a request of which program you want the money to be allocated.  You have a direct say in what happens with your money, which you don’t get with conventional banking systems.
